Lake Home Prow Front
As the family began to outgrow their 1990s chalet-style home, they envisioned a remodel that would provide additional space and a dedicated guest suite for family gatherings—without losing “the feel of the place.” Their primary goal was to preserve the home’s rustic character while creating a more open, connected layout.
A standout feature of the remodel is a custom hidden bar, fabricated by our in-house cabinetry shop and on-site crew. Seamlessly built into the kitchen cabinetry, a simple press of a remote control reveals a wood-finished bar space—both functional and a memorable party trick.
The kitchen is outfitted with top-of-the-line appliances, premium cabinet features, and high-end flooring. Custom cabinets crafted from knotty alder are paired with a maple live-edge island top, creating warmth and visual interest. Countertops throughout the kitchen—and extending into the primary bathroom—are natural stone Quartzite (Taj Mahal), providing continuity and elegance. All appliances feature custom-built panels to maintain a clean, cohesive wood aesthetic.
Completing the space, the hood fan was custom-built by Waldmann and accented with fabricated metal details that echo the beam faceplates in the Great Room, tying the design together with thoughtful, handcrafted detail.
